Is Ariza, Beverley & DMo (s&t) plus 2019 lottery protected enough to get KLove? He's an odd fit in Cleveland. This trade would really help the Cavs as much as it would us. Love would fix the rebounding deficit. A big rotation of Anderson, Love, and Capela with Nene glued to the bench but ready when the other team wants to play big all game. Capela playing a "super sub" letting the other play PF. Starter's minutes off the bench.
If the Rockets are not in the playoff picture by trade deadline, they should consider giving up Ariza to the Cavs for free so they can fight the evil GSW empire. If Cavs can get a draft or two...Rockets should consider it GSW, SAS, LAC are locked MEM, PORT, most likely in 3 spots between: HOU, UTAH, MIN, DAL, NOP, OKC For the greater good.
Forget Gay - go after Monroe. Rockets Out: Ariza, Beverley, Dekker, McDaniels, 2nd Rockets In: Monroe, MCW Bucks Out: Monroe, MCW Bucks In: Dragic, McDaniels, Dekker Miami Out: Dragic Miami In: Ariza, Beverly, 2nd Miami gets closer to getting out of the LT and fills in some gaps. Bucks get Dragic, a local boy for a slight fan base bump for a small market team. Rockets have: MCW Harden, Gordon Beasley, Brewer (wish we could trade him but lets be honest - he's a negative) Anderson, DMo, Nene Monroe, Capela, Nene [Edit - removed the pick as Monroe is on player option next year making him a possible 1 year player]
They've spoken, so it's said, of Brew/KJ - - Gay. Big question is: is there any love out there for Gay to drive a price up? It's also been said that a Boogie deal is holding up a Gay deal; look C's way (and IMO hope for Rozier to find his way to Cardinal Central).
Sactown should just go all in with us: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=j99cshl Just to give GSW trouble.
Yes it's great and then we don't hove any true point guard (prigioni can't play for 10seconds he will tear apart) and then we don't have any player that plays defence (pat and ariza) and the most important thing is that in any universe Sac won't make this deal
Harden is the PG in that scenario. Harden / Prigioni / Payton Gordon / Gay / Dekker Anderson / Harrell Cousins / Nene / Onuaku That's more firepower on the offensive end than Harden has ever since he became a Rocket. If he can't find the energy to commit on the defensive end with that lineup he'll never find it. That would be one of the toughest offenses to defend in the league!
Except Cavs really don't need more offense. Ariza would give them another perimeter player that can guard bigs like Durant, Nowitski as well as smalls like CP3 and Rose. KLOVE was a bad fit for most of regular and post season. His heroics at the end of the Finals does not change that.
2 separate trades: 1. Houston and Sacramento Bev and Brew for Gay 2. Houston and Phoenix S&T DMO and KJ for Bledsoe Free Agency Signing: Norris Cole Bledsoe/Cole/Prigs Harden/Gordon Ariza/Gay/Dekker Anderson/Beasley/Harrell Capela/Nene
^^^^That's not bad we can place GP, Barrel and kid From Louisville in D League...Basically makes Decker and Prig 11th and 12th man oldest and youngest on the roster....Doesn't look too bad and would make a 4th seed in west obtainable. I think we could be Portland or Memphis
I like It for us a lot there is so much flex in the players skill sets Cole is not needed. --> that said on a vet minimum it could not look any better ---> looming injury. Do the Suns needs/want DMo enough to move Bledsoe?
Doubtful. Doesn't make much sense when you consider the fact that they just spent two lottery picks on PF's specifically. I think a third team would need to get involved.
Nate Bjorkgen [Suns' assistant coach]: "I see [Bender] as more of a three/four. You know, with his seven-foot frame, he can really handle that ball. He's long, he can shoot the three, he's got skills coming off of ball screens. So, he'll do nice some things on both ends of the floor. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Arizona Sports] - Roundtable: What we learned from the Suns’ Summer League: What’s one major thing we learned about any of the three draft picks after seeing them play this summer? Gibberman: Both Dragan Bender and Marquese Chriss have a long way to go. It’s going to take patience and development, which there is nothing wrong with. Olson: We learned that Dragan Bender is not ready to play as a center in the near future. The clear flaw in Bender’s game in Vegas was not being in the right spot around the rim to defend, but making the right play on the ball. Bender really struggles locating it, looking like someone swatting at a bug instead of contesting a shot. He fouled on nearly every circumstance of that matter despite being in the right position. On the other end, I don’t recall one possession I saw when he had an individual post touch despite having a size mismatch nearly every second he was on the floor. That tells us his strength and/or post game isn’t ready yet either. Zimmerman: Bender’s strength deficiency stood out as the biggest thing we didn’t know. For all the praise Bender got regarding his basketball smarts, Chriss, a player who from experience alone has so much room to make up, could end up earning more minutes just because he can keep up physically. Which rookie power forward is more ready for minutes in their rookie season, Dragan Bender or Marquese Chriss? Gibberman: If I had to pick one I’d go with Bender, but I don’t think either is ready for more than 10-12 minutes. It’s important that they both get little chunks of time to start the process of them learning on the court. Olson: Bender is still the clear favorite. He’s never an individual player that is going to stand out in a summer league setting when elite players are supposed to take over and as one of the youngest players in his draft class, that’s fine. His role player skillset will work well when he’s not required to be one of the two best players on the floor for his team. Most importantly, his defense on the perimeter looked as advertised and he should be at least above average when compared to other rookies. Zimmerman: Just to fire up the hot take cannon more: Bender may be a safer two-way option, even though he might not be able to do more than play hot potato by passing the ball or shooting it. But if his foul trouble against undersized summer league small forwards says anything, his defense might not be adequate against NBA bench forwards, either. Chriss can be a more impactful rookie if he plays with the energy he displayed before falling ill. I’ll hedge this by saying there’s still 3.5 months for Bender to pack on some pounds. --------------------------------------------------------------------------
