Server issues will be the death of this game.

If this was any other games, I would have deleted it already.

I do not play the game but I think it is good that it is getting some "geeks' up off of the couch going out to play this game. Exercise is good even though I could use more of it myself I think it is good this game is making people get up and do something. I will add that I am a "geek" myself but grew up way before Pokemon. I did play the games with my son when he was younger and enjoyed it but it was more from the connection with him than the actual game.

The Canada release didnt help the servers today. They really need to be on top of it. Plus, fix the bugs one day.

For those who play this game and live or work anywhere near downtown.. Discovery Green is nuts. You can't walk 50 feet without getting at least 2 pokemon hits (without incense).

Although they are generally the same if you visit often, you can get a good collection of repeats like (Poliwag, Bulbaseur, and Psyduck), with some rares thrown in (tonight I saw Onix, Growlithe, and Scyther).

Not to mention Discovery Green actually has a pretty good view of Houston. Cool built in waterfront that looks at downtown.

yea, i'm getting the same feeling. great concept, but poorly executed.

that said, i'm still playing it. i'm not sure if it's truly just too many people for the servers to handle or if it's poorly coded.

They're likely being hit by DDOS attacks daily and their user base is exponentially growing. It's not easy.

Now is a good time for a rival game to be released and take at least 50% of Pokemon's users. Just have a stable server we can rely on.

    Queston #7:

Who or what or how do you determine where the Pokemons are that people are looking for?

    And I guess...

    Question #8:

Who decides where they go? Can they be anywhere? Private property?

Yes. The laws of Pokemon are supreme to the laws of the land.

Without the Pokemon name nobody would care. If nostalgia wasn't heavily working in this games favor it wouldn't have gone anywhere.

The fact that the only Pokemon available to catch now are the original Pokemon from the late 90's shows the developers are well aware of that. If I were catching one of the other 500 Pokemon I had no clue about, I wouldn't care.

Honestly I don't know why anybody without a pre-existing Pokemon attachment would be into this game, because the gameplay is very thin right now aside from the very cool premise of actually having to travel to catch them.

I caught 5 charmanders so far and they were all in the heights.
