Bogut was still a more effective and better overall center than Pachulia, but Zaza was a solid cheap addition for sure. They still need to replace Ezeli. This is not a deep team and can get exposed if anyone gets injured.
And that's where it will hurt the Warriors defensively. You saw the defensive drop off when Lebron/Kyrie started attacking the rim more fearlessly as the Finals wore on. yes the Warriors will be better for sure b/c their offense will be stupid good. But their defense will suffer for sure.
Why they want to reunite in Houston? They could go to the Lakers or maybe even Clippers (have to get rid of CP3), and have the film and entertainment industry near them, and Harden and Westbrook's home. It makes more sense.
No he won't. And don't compare it to 1+1 with OKC because then he would retain his bird rights and got his $. and why wtf again? Because Durant the coward is going to be called out by everyone who watches the game and isn't a bandwagoner? That's life. You make a choice you get your easy way to the ring being a glorified role player in Curry's team, and you face criticism.
All the people thinking GSW will somehow be bad with KD is just wishful thinking, esp. now that he essentially came with Zaza for free. Zaza is a quality vet, I'd say he's on par with Bogut so really all GSW is losing is backup power with Barnes....but they still have Iggy as the 6th man so whatever. GSW will steamroll opposition next year, they might stuggle initially due to KD taking shots from Steph and Klay but eventually they will click and form the most stacked team in recent history. As a basketball fan I am excited to see a team like this in the NBA, would be interesting to see how Spurs (who are also ridiculously stacked) and Cavs (with the bes player in the league) react to this.
zaza is much worse defensively but he's much better offensively. He too is a great passer but DEFINITELY not as smart and good rim protector and deterring shots at the rim.
So bring back Ezeli or sign a shotblocker to spell Pachulia if/when the defense is lacking. Bogut was a valuable player, no doubt, but at the end of the day we're talking about a 20 MPG player; even less in the playoffs. The Warriors' best lineup featured Green at center, anyway. Their 4th quarter unit is going to be Curry/Thompson/Iggy/KD/Green. Pachulia is going to drive people nuts. He's going to rebound the hell out of the ball and get a ton of garbage points. He's going to hustle, hustle, hustle and draw technical fouls from all the hotheads that allow him to get underneath their skin. That's his game. Statistically, he's going to outperform Bogut in that same role. We'll have to wait and see what sort of effect the lack of a traditional shotblocking five has on the GS lineups that feature an actual center.
I do not think Durant would have won with OKC in the next 2 years. OKC is a choking team, they choked with Harden and find ways to choke again. Sadly they are always this close to not choking, but they would choke again. You can bet on that.
every year? I have been to the Finals only once I recall. With Harden and Harden choked in the Finals, but fans forgave him because he was young.
Partly on my phone. Why? Like you I don't like the signing and its aftermath in the NBA. But I will not boo him or do anything disrespectful.
coz you don't post like your normal way. Disrespectful? What's there to respect about Durant anymore?
