I would have rather the Rockets just kept McHale and replaced all the assistants if I knew that D'Antoni was going to be the coach. Firing a coach eleven games into a season after going to the conference finals damaged the teams image. I think many of the top coaching candidates declined to even interview with the Rockets because Les and Morey look like amateurs.

I will give D'Antoni a chance, but is anyone excited about this hiring other than Les? Is this the kind of hiring that will attract the top free agents? Is this the kind of hiring that will motivate Harden to be a leader, and to play on both ends of the court?

I think everyone around the NBA is laughing at the Rockets right now.
