I can't remember a better week of music releases in recent years.

    Skepta - Konnichiwa
    Death Grips - Bottomless Pit
James Blake - The Colour in Anything
    Anohni- HOPELESSNESS
    Radiohead -

2016 had been kind of a down year in my mind despite loving Life of Pablo, Frankie Cosmo's new album and Parquet Courts. Then Beyonce releases a surprise album. The next week Drake releases his album. Then this week came and 2016 just became a top year in recent memory for me.

What albums are y'all listening to out of these big releases? Can anyone remember a week with more quality albums dropping at once? This may be recency bias but I can't. I felt that we were going to have a down year and then this week came in and wiped that fear away.

EDIT: After posting, pitchfork gave a rundown on today's releases.

Haven't got a chance to listen to the new Aesop yet. Need to get on that. Have you checked out Open Mike Eagle - Hella Personal Film Festival?

Skepta and Death Grips got a nice flow. Not feeling the beat on death grips song though. He needs a better producer.

    eh on James Blake.

Agreed. Big Friday for new music. Been jamming the new LUH record. LUH is the new project of Ellery James Roberts formerly of Wu Lyf.
