[Movie] X-Men: Apocalypse

I missed that part, I just remember them specifically mentioning Mystique. Still, her DNA would have like nothing to do with that. That's just stupid.

 

Ooh, didn't realize those were the followers. Hope the backstory is good on why they're joining Ivan Ooze; otherwise, it REALLY should have been War/Pest/Fam/Death.

And agreed with all the posters here - the gripes aren't against JLaw the person, but rather, how important the studio is making her. Just from that most recent trailer alone, it seems like Mystique is the new leader of the X-Men.

First Class probably needed her, I get that - she was a megastar by then, and a reboot of X-Men could use someone who was 1) young and 2) a very attractive woman. But DoFP utilized her too much already, while Apo looks to have her on-screen constantly, which is absolute wrong thing to do.

 

Was Quicksilver wearing a Rush shirt? Cool.

 

J Law is playing Roman Reigns in this movie. Forced, cringeworthy, and non-sensical selection as the chosen one. A case of ulterior motives driving the plot line and camera time.

 

That CG, city gone destruction look is plaid out in my book. I like the 60s Americana setting in this movie/trailer for some reason. This is still set in the 60s right? Is the guy with the metal claw or whatever the Wolverine guy or Freddy??? I don't read comic books, sorry.

 

First class took place during the 60s, Days of future past took place in the 70s, and apocalypse will take place in the 80's

 

Is Jean Grey turning into the Phoenix at the end of the trailer??

It's another comic book movie though, it deserves everyone's undivided attention!!! What else is everyone going to look forward to?? A deep playoff run? Lol

But seriously... Reading the comments, I'm wondering if Hollywood is going to screw up trying to use J Law and make Mystique the new Wolverine or something (I mean with her star power atm, I'm betting they wish they picked a different character for her). I also thought it was funny on her complaint about having to wear costume/makeup, hahah. Obviously it's a pita to wear, but you're also getting paid extremely well...

Anyway I don't know that much anymore on x-men (I can't remember much about the story...) So I'll just go into it watching the action and be less worried about Hollywood screwing up everything (they always do, eventually). At least the special/visual FX will be top-notch!

With each new trailer that comes out, I want to see this movie less. As it stands now, there's no way I see it in the theaters. It just looks awful.

 

I wish they cast someone else for psylocke. I'm not totally sold on what's her face
