Not heartbroken, more relieved, this is over, this mess of a roster, is done. Morey created a turnstile this year, and some worked, Beasley, some did not Lawson, and some were just let go because...Thornton. This was the worst year ever as a Rockets fan, glad it is over. DD
Very upset for the first 20 games. I never gave up complete hope till last night. Gradually started speeding through the games to see how Capela or later Beasley were doing and watched the last 5 minutes. Started to feel more like I feel when I watch another NBA team blow leads or lose leads.\ Not that hurt now, just completely puzzled.
Pretty numb. I've been suppressing that this season has even existed for months now. Let's all just pretend there was a lockout this year.
As a season ticket holder, I feel pretty god damn devastated... and I know that if they don't give a f**k, why should I? Well I actually genuinely care about this team and HATE seeing our franchise dragged through the mud. Last year was one of (if not) the best rockets seasons I've ever been apart of, and for them to lay this bombshell of a season...I can't even put into words the amount of disappointment, resentment, and outrage I have for this ****ty year. The NBA draft and Tom Thibodeau can't get here fast enough...
I miss players like Hayes, Scola, Battier, Lowry - guys that played hard every night. This crew is a mess, no leadership from anywhere.....it is just sad. DD
My expectations went to hell when shortly after JBB started coaching I saw that video of him partying with Harden and Bev and Howard like they he was the ball gobbler of their entourage. I knew then that he wasn't going to be someone that could turn the team into a winner.
Why you gotta go back to the Lowry/Scola/etc. days? This same group played hard, showed leadership and had heart last year. What's sad about this team isn't what they lack. It's what they lost in the span of just a few months.
I was heartbroken in 86 when we lost to the Celtics. Now I'm more pissed than heartbroken. I think we all knew deep down this was a tremendously flawed team.
