Adam Everett is really turning it on this month. His BA is up; he's making clutch hits and clutch plays in the field. I'm really glad he got a good look when Lugo got cut from our team.
If he doesn't get a gold glove, or at least a few votes, somebody isn't doing their job. Same with Hidalgo.
Where on earth did you get the latter idea? His bat is poor. His glove is excellent. If you think he's worth it... fine. Make the argument that his glove makes up for his lack of offensive punch. Personally, I think Everett is decent "filler" on a good team. He doesn't help - but he doesn't hurt so much as to demand immediate replacement. TBH, if he'd been in the game 10 years ago - he'd have been just fine. But the improvement in hitting at the SS position has left players like Everett behind.
Excellent fielder with an EXTREMELY average bat. All we need is average from him though, great defense.
