Finding a home for my dad

    Does anyone know a place my dad can stay?

    He currently pays $300 for rent at my aunt's for a small room. He has to move out soon.

    He is 55 years old. Has really low income as a security guard.

    Shared living is probably the goal... $300 a month is hard to find.

    Senior apartments are often cheaper. I think you can get a 2 bedroom for around 800-850 USD, so he can find a roommate and be around that price range.

    Good luck. Went through this with my father in law a couple months ago. The best we could find was a senior apartment in a not so great part of town for $500/mo. Thats more than half his income but we didn't have the space to let him stay with us long term.
