NY Jets at Washington I'm not really that impressed with Washington Jets 28 Redskins 17 Baltimore at Pittsburgh 1:00pm Baltimore is young and the Steelers suffered a big blow. I think Baltimore guts it out 21-17 Houston at Miami 1:00pm Houston is still an expansion team Miami 34 Houston 6 St. Louis at NY Giants 1:00pm Two teams capable of getting to the Superbowl. Should be good. St Louis has more to prove. St Louis 31 NY Giants 27 Indianapolis at Cleveland 1:00pm I'm not all that impressed with Holcomb, and Cleveland is banged up. Indianapolis 24 Cleveland 17 Denver at Cincinnati 1:00pm The Bengals had one of the best defenses in the preseason, a Marvin Lewis staple, and their offense looked sharp, even without playing Dillon that much. Marvin Lewis seems to have the Bengals on the right track and believing they can win. Bengals 31 Broncos 21 Arizona at Detroit 1:00pm Absolutely brutal and atrocious game, take it to the bank. Arizona 17 Detroit 6 Jacksonville at Carolina 1:00pm Carolina looked good in the preseason, but Jacksonville should be solid Carolina 17 Jacksonville 14 New England at Buffalo 1:00pm Stupid move by New England cutting Milloy. Then again Buffalo has a lot of holes. New England 42 Buffalo 35 San Diego at Kansas City 1:00pm I'm not sold on Kansas City being a Superbowl contender. But they should be a playoff team. San Diego will be strong, but I don't think they'll have enough offense to win this game. Kansas City 28 San Diego 14 Minnesota at Green Bay 1:00pm Minnesota has made some great moves but they won't cash in on it until later this year or next year. Green Bay 27 Minnesota 21 New Orleans at Seattle 4:15pm Seattle, I think, is the most overrated team this year. People expect great things from them but I don't see it. New Orleans 27 Seattle 17 Atlanta at Dallas 4:15pm People think that Parcells will turn Dallas around immediately, but the Cowboys are a god awful team. He'll be lucky to get them to the playoffs next year. Atlanta has something to prove without Vick Atlanta 27 Dallas 10 Chicago at San Francisco 4:15pm Chicago is horrible. San Francisco 31 Chicago 7 Oakland at Tennessee 8:30pm Oakland is getting old. They have some nice young talent but Tennessee is deep, talented and physical and capable of winning the Superbowl this year. Tennessee 28 Oakland 17 Monday, Sep 8 Tampa Bay at Philadelphia 9:00pm Philadelphia has lost a lot on D, and Tampa Bay looks strong. Their running game looks phenomenal. Tampa Bay 24 Philadelphia 13
Jets vs Washington Half of the Jets roster is now on the other side of the field, Penny's out, Washington wins: 20-13 Baltimore vs Pittsburgh Lewis is back, simple as that. Ravens win 14-7 Houston vs Miami As moe said, Miami's D vs Houston's O-Line, Carr will be lucky to wake up on Monday with his spinal column intact. Dolphins 24-0 St. Louis vs NY Giants Healthy Faulk and Warner, Rams will put up the points, unfortunately they'll also give them up. Giants 26-21 Indy vs Cleveland When Kelly Holcomb is your starter, you know you're in for a long day. Colts 24-7 Denver vs Cincinnati They're the Bengals. Broncos win 27-13 Arizona vs Detroit Despite popular opinion, Mariucci, not Parcells will have the greatest positive impact on his team. Edwards and Porcher will have a field day with Emmitt. Lions win 24-9 Carolina vs Jacksonville Julius Peppers is back, QB drama in JAX, Carolina starts out the same way as last season, Panthers win 13-7 New England vs Buffalo Lawyer's gone, Bills win 38-31 San Diego vs KC KC's overrated, still has a very suspect defense. Chargers 38 Chiefs 27 Minnesota vs Green Bay GB is still the class of the NFC North, 28-17 Pack New Orleans vs Seattle Seattle made some improvements, Hasselbeck looked good end of last season. Seahawks win 35-24 Atlanta vs Dallas As much as ESPN wants to believe it, Parcells doesn't restore the Cowboys his first year. Atlanta 24-9 Chicago vs San Francisco Chicago's bad, however SF's defense isn't world famous either, but good enough to win. 49ers 24-17 Oakland vs Tennessee Good teams, Tennessee wins by a slim margin 24-23 TB vs Philly Philly got worse in the offseason, won't come close to the matchup that was advertised. TB wins 24-13
Hey, you caught on like me. Now we won't have 30 posts reminding us. I was going to do some predictions but I don't think I know enough to even fake like I know who could win. I just want the Redskins, Giants, and Eagles to lose...badly. As for the only team I know anything about, the Cowboys, I really don't know what to expect. If they could carry over what they did in the last game, they have a good chance to win, maybe even scoring more than 15 pts. But the preseason is not the season and many things can happend. Also heard something about Bryant still having a problem with his quad, though he may play. I just wished we could have kept Woody D. Love the way he ran. He's probably better than at least one of the QB's, Lynn Scott, though he hits hard, and maybe someone else. I know with Zuriel and Switon returning, he would be a luxury but still... Stupid Falcons...taking our football player.
NFL Suicide Contest is up and running in the hangout forum. Easy to play...get your pick in before Sunday noon.

My prediction? I'm gonna be sloppy-a$$ed drunk by the third quarter with bags of Fritos strewn across my couch.
BTW - The Cat would like to add that "Kelly Holcomb is GOD"... "Browns 35-31" and "I Will laugh at everyone who doubted his greatness."
NY Jets at Washington Jets losing Penny hurts, but not enough to lose to the Skins. Jets 24 Redskins 21 Baltimore at Pittsburgh Baltimore should be able to gut out a win here, even though the game should be ugly. Ravens 17 Stellers 13 Houston at Miami Houston's OL is still shaky, Miami's D is good, they have Ricky, what else can you say? Miami 37 Houston 10 St. Louis at NY Giants St Louis should be back to Super Bowl form in this game with Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk finally up to giving the Rams a good injury-free year. St Louis 35 NY Giants 24 Indianapolis at Cleveland Indy should be able to romp on the Browns, while the QB controversy still brews in Brown-town. Indianapolis 27 Cleveland 17 Denver at Cincinnati Portis goes wild on the Browns for 125+ yards, and even Jake the Snake has a decent outing. No contest. Broncos 41 Bengals 13 Arizona at Detroit Flashes of brilliance from Harrington/Rogers will spark debate of which young tandem is better: the Lions QB/WR or the Texans'? Detroit 20 Cards 12 Jacksonville at Carolina Jacksonville should be able to eke this one out... Jacksonville 14 Carolina 13 New England at Buffalo Buffalo's revamped D coupled with its juggernaut offense should make a big impact on NFL fans everywhere. Buffalo 38 Pats 17 San Diego at Kansas City An interesting matchup: they both have strong RBs and powerhouse offenses but weak Ds. I think the edge goes to SD with the addition of David Boston. San Diego 27 KC 21 Minnesota at Green Bay Minnesota should be good with Culpepper to Moss working as it should and Onterrio Smith surprising a few people with a solid performance. Minnesota 24 GB 21 New Orleans at Seattle The Seahawks should have very little trouble with this Saints team. Deuce and Horn/Brooks will not be enough to compensate. Seattle 28 NO 24 Atlanta at Dallas Even a Vickless ATL will be able to squeak by the Boys. Atlanta 24 Dallas 10 Chicago at San Francisco San Fran runs all over Chicago. San Francisco 35 Chicago 7 Oakland at Tennessee An interesting matchup here, quite possibly the game of the week. I think Tennessee wins this one by a slight margin. Tennessee 35 Oakland 31 Tampa Bay at Philadelphia Philadelphia has...Donovan McNabb. The Bucs D should be able to hold him, and win the game. Tampa Bay 27 Philadelphia 17
