Ok non-Cowboys fans, it is the last thread about a preseason Cowboys game, so stick through it once more and that will be it for "meaningless" preseason games...this year. ;)

As for the game, it will be a big test for Dallas, especially for the secondary. I heard that despite what other teams do for their last game, Dallas will play the starters a majority of the game, like into the 3rd qtr or something like that.

QC officially has the starting job, but that doesn't mean he can relax. In fact, this may be the biggest game for him this preseason since everyone will be trying to criticize anything the Dallas starting QB does. If he can move the ball well, and keep the TO's to a minimum, I'll be happy, especially since that would be 3 straight games of that.

From what I've heard, Wiley's gone, either by trade or by cutting him, so I'm pretty happy with the RB's. WR's and TE's as well. It would ber eal good to see Larry Allen dominate this game because if he doesn't, he'll be entering the season in very bad shape, probably both skill wise and conditioning wise.

On D, my main concern in this game is the secondary. Oakland's got some good WR's, though I don't know how much they'll play them if at all. Still, our guys need to go against some bigger, faster and more consistence WR's. Burress seemed to do very well against us last week, so I'm a little worried when we play teams with a great WR or 2. If we can get some pressure, may not really matter, but that's like saying if QC could throw for 300yds, we'd be good. (just messing with you QC.)

Injuries that I know of include Ross who will be out 4 wks with torn cartilage. Pete Hunter should be ready to go by the opener. Um...and that's it. I haven't had much time to keep up with the news.

    BTW, yes, I know....

This game isn't nearly as interesting as last week's was. All the assessments are already made, pretty much know the depth charts by now. Might as well skip ahead to the regular season.

I'll still watch, just to see how they execute, but not as closely.

It'll be interesting to see if Fargas can continue to dominate. Hopefully not. :)

Garner isn't playing so Wheatley will get the call. so expect no running game at all. Gannon won't play long, neither will anyone else. Tuiasosopo sucks

Preseason blows chunks, but it's football for cryin' out loud!! There's no such thing as bad sex, bad pizza or bad football.

RC, you guys can have Ragone or Henson if you give us Roy Williams. :D

Sure, go ahead and take Roy Williams. We'll do it and get a good deal.

Hmm...this is the Roy Williams you were talking about, right?

It's time for the real QC to show up. I look for him to have a poor game and make Tuna look closely over the waiver wires before the first game. Sorry but I really dislike QC.

I hope Larry Allen can continue to improve. We need him to anchor the line. if he goes down or doesn't get better we are in big trouble.

Can't wait to see Newman match up agains the Hall of Famers. I'm sure he'll get taught a thing or two but now is the time to learn (pre-season).

On another Cowboy note, there is a radio program here in D/FW on 105.3 "The Talk that Rocks" or whatever called the Pugs & Kelly show. This is a pretty fun show to listen to. Kelly has been dating none other than Tyson Walter(backup and potential offensive line starter). They have been talking about their relationship in detail on the show. Things like their sex lives, what they like to do, how their relationship is going, etc. . Well, things were great for most of training camp. He would come do interviews on the show to talk about camp and the pre-season games. This morning I heard her talking about how she had been crying most of yesterday because apparently Tyson is giving her the old "preseason is over heave-ho". It's not over yet but it sounds like that big talk is coming. She just divorced her own husband whom she has two kids with and hooked up with Tyson. She's totally in love with him but it doesn't sound like the reverse is true. She's been talking about how he will adapt to her and the kids and stuff...like long-term thinking. I think he's thinking about the good sex they had and football.

I don't know. I find it all pretty funny because complete strangers(like me) know exactly what is going on with her life and her relationship. Now, it's all crumbling on her when she is so in love. The big possible break-up or long-term commitment talk is coming. One of her lines was, "don't worry about me. stay with me only if you want. I won't kill myself or anything", claiming she is trying not to lay a guilt trip on him. LOL.

I just thought I would share a brief glimpse into that. It's all aired out over a talk show. Keeps the audience interested I guess.

When was the last time the Cowboys scored 24 pts in a qtr? I know it is just preseason, and Oakland doesn't really seem to care about the game, but still...man..

Umm...yea...24-0 Cowboys in the 1st quarter. Glenn with a long pass reception and then Troy Hambrick ran it 6 yards into the end zone for a TD.

Uh oh...we are going to start thinking we are pretty good.

194 yards total offense for Cowboys already in the 1st.

    yah, premature ejaculation. :)

I was happy to see QC hook up a few good long passes. His decision making was good too.
