"Do what you love, and the money will follow" Author Unknown, however, it always puts things in perspective for me...
My favorite one is in the bottom of my sig: "actually, there is a girl who act like that last quarter in my class, she is not my type, so I didn't go for it, but I am a little regret now. "
I like that one. Still waiting for that money, however... BTW, see my sig for my quote. Amazingly profound. Words to live by. Authored by you know who.
Almost got it right, Friendly Fan. I use this on my kids frequently. (there are 2 previous "you can't always get what you want" phrases in there, but that's too nitpicky... I don't use them when I'm laying it on my kids ) You can't always get what you want... But if you try sometime, You just might find... You get what you need. Classic advice from, arguably, the greatest rock & roll band ever. Anyone know what Pulitzer Prize winning '50's novel my signature comes from??
They don't give me inspiration, but the thread title was what's your favorite quote so mine would be pretty much anything said by Jerry Seinfeld, George Costanza, Cosmo Kramer, or Elaine Benes - Seinfeld is the funniest show ever, imo....I could make a thread that goes on for pages on just Seinfeld quotes.
"If not me, who? If not now, when?" It is my understanding that this is traced back to a 17th-18th century South American missionary.
This quote was on the back of our football shirts this year: "Losers quit when they're tired, winners quit when they've won." Great quote for sports, imo.
The AK-47...When you absolutely, positively GOT to kill every mother f*ck*r in the room, accept no substitutions...
"Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never--in nothing, great or small, large or petty--never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy." -- Winston Churchill "If a man hasn't found something he will die for; he isn't fit to live!". -- Martin Luther King; Jr. "What does not kill me, only makes me stronger.". -- Friedrich Nietzsche
