Military Industrial Complex, failed with Iran with POTUS. They are gnashing their teeth, with this move now. Good.
Lol. Supporting allies has become “war hawks”? But adding more troops to help the Saudis isn’t? Lol. Are you 8?
USA should of not enter Syria's civil war to begin with. They were not asked to go in, not an intervention but invasion. Need to pull out any way possible.
Why insults? I already have a butthurt longtime poster going that route before and not taking it well with a tactful response. Back on topic, I also agree to pull out troops from Saudi Arabia. How do you like that. We can reach any nation at any given moment. They can be touched.
Not when it helps our adversaries, abandons our allies, and will make it difficult to find regional allies in the future. And not when there is a better way to withdraw if only we had a leader that was actually capable of building a consensus and working with allies. Or if we had a leader who knew that wasn't his strong point and would appoint a cabinet member who could take the lead on it and get it done.
Why call anyone supporting the Kurds “war hawks”? But we aren’t pulling troops out of Saudi but adding them. Trump vetoed ending US support for the Saudi-Yemen War. If we are going to be committing resources, why not to our allies they aren’t becoming an autocratic theocracy?
I dont want another prolong conflict in the middle east. Afghanistan/Iraq add Syria. When do you say enough. Pull out the various countries in Africa too. Dont get caught up in these proxy wars. The funds can be used better domestically.
What troop are being pulled out? Reports said the troop aren't being pulled out, but just moved to a different location. Almost in a way so that the Turkish force can wipe out the Kurds. As extra bonus and coolness, it also risks ISIS being released and roaming to their freedom. American interest is weird with this POTUS. https://www.militarytimes.com/flash...rthern-syria-could-create-an-isis-resurgence/
Kurds got the short end of the stick, I wonder what the current allies and USA promised them before. If any other country including the USA delivered on their agreement.
And this administration isn’t getting us any closer to that. Moving troops from one Middle East site to another isn’t pulling out. Vetoing ending support for the Saudi and Yemen war isn’t so it either. What you want isn’t happening.
France will step up, Macron will defend the Kurds. Maybe Germany will stop Turkey. And they all are allies as well. Its a mess, get out.
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/watch-turkish-troops-tanks-travel-syria-us-backs-away It just happened, no European allied countries intervened. Not a single one. Well Turkey is semi European. There you have it. Everyone abandoned the KURDS.
People don't want conflict in the Middle East or anywhere else, but the same people go cray when the suggestion of reducing Military spending comes up. People are not being hone$t.
