Much has been made of Shaq ad how Yao will not be able to stop him from getting position down low. OK, yes that will definitely be a challenge, but we'll have more flexibility to craft a defense that will mesh with Shaq. If we use Ming to front Shaq and have backside help ready, I think we can definitely make Shaq's life more difficult. Trying throwing passes over a 7'6" guy, especially with Eddie waiting on the other side.

In addition, Ming can probably take Shaq away from the basket on offense...even beat him off the dribble.

Truly think this new weapon will be fun to watch and build around.

Yao needs time to adjust and develop, and finding enough minutes is valid issue, but when Yao's ready, I like going to war against Shaq with a big man collection of Yao, Cato, Collier at center and MoTay, Eddie, and KT at PF. Once Yao's developed, I think a center collection of Yao, Cato and Collier is as good as any other team's stockpile in the league. They've all got size, is (hopefully) willing to mix it up a little bit and two of them have the potential to bring Shaq out on offense.

Thankfully, Ming will not be playing Shaq but very few times his first year. Even as a rookie, he may be giving some of the other centers more trouble than they expect. In five years he will be either a huge disappointment or he will be giving Shaq all his "old" body can handle.
