Did anyone catch WSOP on ESPN last night? I actually enjoyed watching the Razz tournament. Before last night, I had never heard of Razz, but after watching those guys torture themselves while playing that game, it seems like a fun game, in a sick and twisted way. I can't imagine having to keep placing bets on an unknown hand result and hoping you don't pair up cards or get any high cards dealt to you. It seemed like TJ Cloutier was getting some unbelievable draws on low cards.

I watched most of it this morning on my ReplayTV. VERY strange game. I think I prefer Hold'em.

I think its the lowest hand wins, and flushes and straights dont count towards you. They are the best hands.

    Something like that...

    That game looked painful

Lowest 5 card hand wins, flushes and straights don't count.

Looked like nobody was having too much fun. At one point, the announcers mentioned that in all the poker rooms, there is one table of old guys playing Razz and cursing the whole time.

The best hand in Razz is a Wheel, a straight from ace to five.

If you had AAA1234 would you lose or win? Because technically you could have A1234 Straight?

There's no 1 in a deck of cards. If you had AAA2345 you would win with the "wheel" that andmoon mentioned. Your five lowest cards are the one count.

If any of you've ever played Omaha Hi-Low, it's like playing just the low without the high, with the cards being dealt like you're playing seven card stud.

If you had AA23456, would your lowest hand be A2345 or 23456? Thanks.

I saw this on the big screen while in BW3's for lunch yesterday and had NO IDEA what was going on... I thgouht it was just some sort of 5 Card Draw or whatever, I had no sound for the TV so I couldn't be sure... but yeah... doesn't sound like near as much fun as Hold 'Em from the way y'all are talkin 'bout it...

The ace counts as the lowest card possible in that game, so A2345 would beat 23456.
