Witness Protection Program?

Sure. What's the alternative?

 

I wouldn't, but if I were in a position to need the witness protection, I'll bet that I would.

 

Anything I wanted was a phone call away. Free cars. The keys to a dozen hideout flats all over the city. I bet twenty, thirty grand over a weekend and then I'd either blow the winnings in a week or go to the sharks to pay back the bookies.

Didn't matter. It didn't mean anything. When I was broke, I'd go out and rob some more. We ran everything. We paid off cops. We paid off lawyers. We paid off judges. Everybody had their hands out. Everything was for the taking.

And now it's all over.

And that's the hardest part... Today everything is different; there's no action... have to wait around like everyone else. Can't even get decent food - right after I got here, I ordered some spaghetti with marinara sauce, and I got egg noodles and ketchup. I'm an average nobody... get to live the rest of my life like a schnook.

 

As opposed to prison or death? Yeah...I'm sure I could do it.

Yeah, I'd do it if I could have my family, or at least one friend.

 

Don't you have to cut out everybody from your past, including family?

 

Can you find a picture of Henry Hill outside his home in the suburbs picking up the newspaper?

 

I would. Just make new friends where ever you move. Not so hard.

Not always - it depends on the circumstances. If the entire family is serving as a witness, then the whole family needs protection, goodbye friends. If it was just you and a friend, then goodbye family.

 

Yeah, it's a lot easier to fake your own death. Trust me on this.

Depends. Do you have to work when you're in witness protection or do they take care of everything (house, food, etc..) for you? If they take care of everything, then sign me up!
