I know this has been asked before, but since the search is down, I'm asking again. Looking for a weekend getaway that is semi-romantic / rustic feel max of 5 hours away from Houston and allows dogs. perhaps something in the hill country. any recommendations?
The Hill Country is nice. I wouldn't recommend a Bed & Breakfast for a "romantic getaway" though. I can't stand those things. Personally, they're just not quite private enough for me. There are some nice places to stay in the Fredricksburg area. Good luck.
