So I've been doing tons of comparitive studies, and it just hit me ... just ask CF.net, problem solved ... so here I am.

Alright, so I'm in the market for a wall mountable TV, at least 40", only because LCD isn't out in 42" yet. I can't go bigger than that right now, both financially, and my living room isn't all that big either.

I keep hearing that the LCD is the future and that the technology is far superior to the plasma, but the price is also a good $1200 more. Mainly because the wall mount is not being offered free for the Sony Bravia 40" LCD.

I guess I don't really mind putting in the extra money, but want to know if it is really worth the extra money ... like will I really notice that much of a difference?

    The choices right now are:

    1) Sony Bravia 40" XBR model
    2) Panasonic 42" TH-42PA30

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!

    Merci!

I don't know much about the wall mounts so I'm no help there but I sure do love my Samsung 32" LCD I bought before thanks giving.

    It has a great picture.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll enjoy which ever you get.
