frankly, it's ****ing dumb. there's nothing special about these "special" days. give a gift on a day she least expects it, and it'll be appreciated more and remembered forever.

My husband is a massage therapist and has three massages booked for Valentine's day as surprise gifts for people's wives/girlfriends. That might be another idea for you guys. (yes, I get a massage too, but on the 13th... I have to work the entire day and evening of Valentine's Day so I guess he's off the hook in terms of having to do much for me)
