You know I was thinking about this. If his parents are okay with this, don't you think the US should be asking these people some serious questions? I mean who's to say they might not be hiding something or have sympathy/harboring people that might be here in the States.
My guess is that they're already under "surveillence" by now. I just re-read this crap again and caught this : Well hell, b****, you were in Britain... it's not like it would have been hard to find them! The sad thing for him is, he probably won't see one much less kill one. I say let them all out themselves. I want to see if they have the nuts to come back to their "freedom-loving" countries.
What is so disturbing about a story like this is that these people have been raised in 1st world nations in which they are so incredibly ignorant to life in these oppressive, dictatorial regimes. They simply have this idea in their head, but when reality kicks in, its going to be a US missle kicking this guy in the a$$. Like DaDakota said, If you don't like this country GET OUT. I see so many people here that complain and complain about how they hate america yet then they bring their entire families here and collect welfare. Go starve in your own country. I am always critical of policies that I feel are detrimental to the future of our nation, and it is our jobs as citizens to discuss, analyze and recognize strengths and weaknesses in our government to make it even better. But to not love this country? THEN GET OUT...
Not at all. For example Northwest Academy in Houston is run by the First Baptist Church. There are many private schools that are affiliated with religions other than Catholicism as well as those which have no religious affiliation.
That is an ignorant statement. Welfare and other social services (with the exception of ER care and schooling) are not available to illegal immigrants--which I assume is what the statement is referring to. There just isn't a flood of immigrants (legal or illegal) over here trying to get a free ride, that is pure myth. Maybe there is a flood trying to make $4-7 instead of 10-25 cents per hour for hard to semi-skilled labor and perhaps trying to get their kids in American schools and society--and you can reasonably debate which US citizens this hurts/helps or how it impacts you, but whatever it is over 99% percent of illegal, or legal, immigrants don't come here looking for a free ride. If anything they know the value of work because of how difficult it is to make it in most other, at least developing, countries.
Desert Scar, Legal immigrants that come the the US for opportunity and then bad mouth the system that allows them to feed their family have no place here. My parents are immigrants, they worked hard and enjoyed the fruits of opportunity that this country allows. I just feel that its hypocrisy for someone to live in this country try to bring their family over here because of oppression and then talk negatively about the country. By no means do I mean that the government or the US is infallible, far from it, but I feel that if you're statements are not in favor of the betterment of the US and someone hates this country so much "THEN GET OUT" The sad part is i've been to many middle eastern/muslim countries. I am muslim myself and I feel sorry for people there. They have never once tasted freedom. In those countries if you spoke against the governement, secret police will snatch you up in the middle of the night.

FD, I have no problem with how you re-characterized, or at least further specified, your post. I didn't not want it to be left that in reality most immigrants (legal or not) are coming here for a free ride. Because some people <i> do have </i> that mis-characterization. Personally, most all immigrants I have met have come hear for the oppertunities and to work hard for a better situation for themselves and their families, and they far and away contribute to the strengths of our nation. Sure there are exeptions to this, but there are also the home grown Tim McVeighs as well. Anyone who aims to destroy Americans and America should be dealt with switfly and firmly, if that is your message I fully agree.

Let me see, freedom and prosperity in America, or calling our Britain and the United States for saving his mother from attempted murder. Only and idiot try and kill the people who saved his mother's life. And I like how they talk about how evil America is and live here make decent wage. I guess when a U.S. missile from a plane and a British missile from a ship out to see start dropping around I'm assuming he'll be like "Oh crap, maybe I should have did this. . ."
