    Do we even have one?

    http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stats/?cat=team&pan=2052

I dunno the validity of the site
[seems accurate] but I know it cannot be off by much

It has us as Second to Last in Fast Break Point
    29 29 Houston (#9, 28-19)
    8.4 a game

we *really* need to work on this.
they work too hard for every shot
I think EASY BASKETS would help alot

We screw up most of our fast breaks, if we do get a fastbreak basket we still struggle to score on the play.

yep. first we don't get many fastbreaks.. and we suck at them when we do. Surprised we're not last. but even more surprised that Toronto is worse!

The big problem is 3/5s of the starting lineup aren't players that look to get out in the break. Battier and Yao are limited athletically and Tmac, since the start of his career, was never a hard sprinter down the court. Rafer always looks to start the break, the problem is he isn't a very good finisher. Scola always sprints down the court and is a decent finisher, but limited athletically.

Then, if you check out the rest of the roster, only Wafer, Head, and Landry are decent finishers around the rim and look to run. This has been an ongoing problem since as long as I can remember. It has nothing to do with a lack of a fastbreaking mentality, it's just that the Rockets have few athletic players that look to run.

Brooks, Wafer and Scola got a decent number of fast break points. Too bad the first two don't seem much action.

We've sucked at fast breaks for awhile now. And we suck at defending them. We have to work hard for our points, they don't. Game over.

    That is the point.
as hard as the rockets work for every point
it is no surprise they are slacking on Defense

I don't wanna hear crap like. . . OOOHHHH Play X doesn't like to run
    DOESN'T LIKE TO RUN????
Not Running is not an Option !!!

Coach need to put a foot down on this

I remember listening to an old show
they talked about PHI SLAMA JAMMA
    and
basically . . .Guy Lewis would PRACTICE DUNKING
the rockets need some of that
