Yea you might get a little giggled when you saw the title...I thought it was a joke at first too... But let me tell you that there are some rideable and good waves here in Texas.

I just got into surfing back in October when a friend took me down to Flagship on the island... I stood up on the board and was astonished on how fun it actually is. Feels like sking on water...

I went to Cali last month and man I was dissappointed, waves were about the same as here(They are big if you only go out to the dangerous rocky shoresand were the great whites hangout)... I was in Florida and was dissappointed...

I am now a very proud Texas surfer... SO that I'm new I want to know if any of you guys surf, if sol, where is your surfing spot?

I like the Octagon down on Surfside and Flagship...

Here is a link to monster TEXAS WAVES for those who don't believe...

I think surfing is going to be a big trend here in Houston pretty soon....

    YES THIS IS TEXAS...

Yeah dude I surf. During Alison there were some freakin HUGE waves down at Surfside. Bout 8 or 9 feet  Very scary.

I generally surf by the Flagship though. Less comp there, people are more laid back.
