Anybody heard anything about this site? Apparently you can watch all the NBA, NFL, NHL, and international soccer games for $3 a month. Not to mention boxing and wrestling PPV as well.

If this thing works, it might be better than the invention of TIVO.

When I went to register it gave me this message:

"Sorry, we are not accepting any more members at this time. DO NOT paypal anyone from ppvtvonline or any other email address! These people are trying to scam you!"

    :(

Yea I think they shut down registration Saturday. Not the best quality, but for $3 you get what you pay for.

I take it that this is some kind of peer to peer streaming software, like pplive. It's only a matter of time until these programs explode in popularity.

I discover that site last year, for 3 bucks a month, it pretty damn good deal. The site administrator is a huge Rockets fan, you can find most of the rockets game there.

No, they use winamp, it's a server to client protocol.

Really. What's the quality like? And you could have tossed us Rocket fans a bone. :p

Either way, these peer to peer streaming programs are the wave of the future. If the TV/Movie industry know what's good for them, they'll get front and center in developing this technology for their own purposes.

Or you could go here, slickvik69, and watch it for free:

http://www.coolstreaming.it/ - It's in Italian, but you can connect to Chinese television and watch the Rockets.

That's how some of us watched the Rockets/Mavs play on TNT while TNT here in Dallas was showing the other B.S. playoff games and wouldn't switch over.

It's not. If a site like this ever breaks out, then they'll have legal action breathing down their necks. But by that time, you'll probably have dozens of similar sites/programs keeping one step ahead of the law. Like I said, Hollywood needs to harness this technology instead of supressing it. They can't win like that.

Wi-FiTV.com is another cool site, it plays TV from all over the world. Broadband internet is a great thing.

I think somewhere in the agreement that you agree too before registering has a statement saying....I agree that I subscribe to cable TV service and have these channels paid for.......

    something along those lines

    pretty clever....

With 31,000+ members paying $3 a month, they have a nice little cash crop there. Im surprised this hasn't been picked up by the cable companies.

Im a member of the site, and have been for the last 6 months. Some streams could go to as high as 500 kbps, but for the most part they keep it under 300. But its still a steal for 3 bones a month. I got it for all the fights.
