PS2 Online Adapter Help!!!

I have a question for anyone that has the adapter, when i am trying to connect it says authentication error or something does anyone know what i am talking about? if you can give me some help i would appreciate it. my aim name is mrcleanjr04 if u could im me on that, it would be great.
