Poll incoming. And yeah, I know the Finals aren't over - Miami could come back and win 3 in a row. You never know.

My pick: can it somehow be the entire Spurs team? From the big 3 to Bellinelli / Bonner / Joseph, everyone has contributed when they've seen playing time. Except for Ayres, I guess. lol

If I HAD to pick a player? Kawhi Leonard. Games 1 and 2 were crappy, but he's really sparked the team in games 3 and 4 with his offensive numbers, even though he's had to guard the best player in the entire world. Next would be Diaw, Duncan, and then Parker.

Unless LeBron repeats his game 2 performance the rest of the way, I don't think he'll be the second player ever to get the FMVP on the losing team. But he's in the poll anyway.

The A/C was the MVP of game 1 for sure. It shut down LeBron and caused 22 TOs for SA.

    What say you, CF?

It's pretty crazy when Parker / Duncan / Ginobili take a backseat to 2-3 other players on the same team.

It's gotta be Leonard, rest of the guys aren't far behind.
Boris Diaw has really surprised me, amazing court vision.
Gotta hand it to Pop's system.

I don't think you should ever give the Finals MVP to a losing team.

So, I'm going to go with Timmy D.

Just curious, who won the FMVP from a losing team? Interesting tidbit there.

It was Jerry West, in 1969, lost in Game 7 to the Celtics.

If Kawhi wins, will he be the youngest winner ever? Timmy was 23 when he won in 1999

Edit: nevermind, Magic was 21 when he won in 1980

    I know, haha.
But I just had to inject the GOAT Darko into this conversation.

The NBA is suffering without his greatness.

To the Knicks. In today's league, it would have been Frazier.

I have no idea who will win it (or who should win it), can't they just give the finals MVP to the team? (it is a nice statement).

I do not think Leonard has been good enough in 4 games tthat he deserves to win it. But there is no other player who deserves it more.

To me, Leonard and Diaw are tied.

Leonard had a career night in Game 3 and had a solid Game 4. Diaw has been great all series with his passing and +/-. They both have the task of guarding LeBron although Kawhi does the better job of it. Pretty hard to separate the two.

    Leonard or Diaw.

I want to give it to Leonard however, being 22 years old and playing on this big stage. He is showing up and showing out.
