    Wow. I've known that guy (in real life) for a while and never realized he would become so famous around town. You can do amazing things with the Internet. (also, apparently his bosses don't give him that much to do at work :) )

    I've met him a couple of times, a real nice guy for sure.

    Essentially these guys are the new age journalists.. only they do it for free.

    Like the article said, it was basically the Presidential race that caused that.. not blogs themselves.

    Dean's blog for America comes to mind.

    Places like blogspot, blogger, livejournal, etc didn't become widely popular until 2002-2003.

    Seem like a nice enough guy. He does have pretty good tastes in music, and delivers some good takes on the Astros, but when he goes into minute detail about the inner workings of a irrelevent political party, he loses me.
