I can't get Office to run. I've tried reinstalling and that didn't help. Every time I load the application it just hangs. Any advice?

    BTW, I use Windows 2000.

Check out your Application Log (I think that's what it's called). You'll find it...

    Control Panel
    Admin Tools
    Event Viewer

There are three different system items that you view logged information on...system, security, and application (I think that's the three). You should find some info regarding any errors that Windows ran into when you tried running the program.

I had this problem once it had something to do with a corrupt normal.doc or maybe it was something in my registry idk it happened a while ago. I just called Dell tech support and they told me how to fix it. (I love Dell tech support they'll help you with anything)

You could try deleting your normal.doc in the templates folder but idk if that could cause some nasty side effects or not.
So dont try this unless you are sure it wont do anything bad. I dont think it will but idk. another words I aint liable if something goes wrong. dont even try and sue me i'll get Lhutz to represent me.

Did you ever get hit with the "SirCam" virus? If so AND your MS Office problems started today, there may be a correlation. If SirCam wasn't completely removed from your system, it was supposed to do additional damage on 10/16.

I don't intend to alarm you. You also have to be using the European style of date format. DD/MM/YY instead of MM/DD/YY, so it probably isn't the case, but something to check into.
