Yeah I wanted to see this show but I got date night tonight. Will have to catch them next time around......
Yeah, I caught them for the first time at Cactus a couple of weekends ago. Good stuff. Still haven't decided if I'm going or not. I just saw they were playing about an hour ago.
$13 is kinda steep (and is 13 more than I paid to see Mofro the last time they came to town! ... but that's another story). Still, I likes me a little Florida swamp funk.

Glad you added another band thing. If you guys want to see a really interesting and cool band, go check out Two Car Garage. They will be in town December 11 at the Rhythm Room with Guy Forsyth. gwayeco, you'd like them for sure. They are kinda like grunge roots rock - like Steve Earl meets Kurt Cobain. I saw them do a show on a Wednesday night at the Rhythm Room a few months ago and they were phenomenal. ugh... I hate the Meridian... they put Gomez in a small lounge room with 8 foot ceilings... the stage was about 6 inches off the ground and viewing them was IMPOSSIBLE unless you were front row (I'm short). The Meridian (The Mediocre is what i want to call it) is suppose to have 3 stages, but I've only seen one and I was not happy.
