If there are any english majors, or anyone who knows the answer.

when making a works cited, do you have to put in religious texts.

for example, lets say i use the quran and the bible as my sources...

would i put this in my works cited
    -----
    Works Cited

    Bible
    random website
    Quran

    -----

    or would it be

    -------
    Works Cited

    random website

    -------

If you are citing verses or making any kind of direct quote, then yes, they are primary sources. Additionally, they are translated sources so that can make a difference. With the Bible, there are further variations (King James, NIV, etc).

If you are just talking generalities that are true for either or something that could be seen as common knowledge, then you don't need to but still can if you want.

Mostly, though, you should buy/check out the most recent style manual and figure this out yourself. MLA is the easy one.
