Just like steroids in baseball some people will sacrifice anything to be at the top of their game. I've known Mitch since the early 90's when we did a week together in Phoenix, he was hella funny but I knew even back then he was burning the candle at both ends. I spent a week with a comic a few years back that was a huge pothead, we stayed in a condo together and since I had never done drugs before, and I saw how much drugs embellished his weak act I thought I would try it. That night on stage I was probably more funny to me than anyone else in the building, and the depression that accompanied it made me never want to do it again.

I don't know if drugs made Mitch funny, all I know is that he did drugs and he was one of the funniest guys alive, now he's one of the funniest guys dead.

Personally I don't have to be one of the funniest guys alive, and if I can’t make people laugh with my God given ability, I refuse to help the process with substances that can kill me.
