Really, a gay dating website ad during football? And the superbowl of all things...that's like a year's worth of Bravo advertisements.

 

Let's see, shameless adultery (Ashley Madison) is allowed but gay dating is still a taboo?

Sucks to be a liberal progressive network still stuck in the middle ages!

But don't worry CBS will make up for it with a heavily stereotyped gay character on one of the 20 CSI spinoffs.

Couldn't disagree more. There are far, FAR more racy scenes all over tv, including commercials aired during the SuperBowl (godaddy). If this was a man and woman making out, no one would say a single word about this ad.

Once again, CBS shows how hypocritical they really are. I really hope (doubt it, but I hope) that the ratings for this SB tank because of this.

 

CBS is out of line here --

They have no problem showing an anti-abortion ad produced by the James Dobson crazies from Focus on the Family, but find this ad offensive?

So much for that liberal media bias.

 

They'd probably be fine with 2 women as well. Never underestimate male homophobia in America.

 

I don't recall any ads on network TV where a man and a woman have been "making out".

 

There is a certain body spray commercial that portrays a man and woman frolicing around in their underwear in the bedroom for a full minute.

I viewed the ad, and you never see the two males actually engaged in a kiss, they are kind of romping around and it looks as if they are making out, so I suppose based on those grounds CBS has sufficient cause in rejecting the ad.

 

I wonder if the flack for the Adam Lambert incident had any bearing on their decision.

 

Great publicity stunt from mancrunch. They probably knew they were never going to be allowed to air the commercial but they sure did get a lot of free publicity.

 

Apparently Fox is the only conservative station out there. Now, Basso has two stations that he can watch.

FWIW- Ashley Madison was rejected nationally but picked up by our local station last year. Not everyone saw the commerical
