Why would you waive a 25 year old big man like this?

1. 4 year all SEC player
2. NBA body and size
3. Can play the 3 or the 4
4. All SEC academic performer
5. Good character
6. Prior history with Morey
7. Can defend
8. Can handle the ball VERY well for a man his size
9. Still young
10. Can hit his free throws (80%)
11. Athletic

Like I said, he's not going to ever be a superstar, but there isn't any reason at all that he shouldn't be a productive pro if he gets the chance. I thought he had a chance to be a first rounder coming out of college. He's a better shooter than he has shown so far in his career. I don't know why he hasn't shot better so far to be honest. Maybe there is something wrong with him that I don't know about, but it wouldn't shock me to see him put it together if he gets in the right situation.

Or he could actually suck. Who knows?

I have a feeling he is gonna stay. The fact that he hits his free throws at a good clip encourages me. I can't think of a player who shoots free throws well but can't shoot in live action. Maybe he can work hard and become a good backup.
