    Funny question -

    Anyone remember Joe Forte? The standout from North Carolina. Anyways, I was looking through the Rockets' box score, and saw that one of the ref's names was....Joe Forte. Is this the same person?

    Nope, if I remember Forte was drafted by the Celtics, but could never get anything going, I remember see him in a European game a couple of years back.

    Yeah, I remembered him struggling with the Celtics, but I thought maybe after struggling, for some reason he tried being a ref. I think that'd make for a great story.

    im pretty sure forte plays in europe now...i think joe forte the ref is white and in his 50s

    Someone had posted an article here a year or so ago about Forte playing in Europe and hoping for an invite back to the NBA.
