How many of you play? I am looking for a game. I am a beginner (only played a few times) and my friends can't seem to get a game organized very often. I had a good time when we played & would like to play more. Anyone got a game with an open spot?
If your a beginner and want to learn without losing any money you can come and play for free at Live on Tuesday and Friday Nights at 7 and 10 we have free tournaments which are part of the National Pub Poker League. It's a lot of fun and don't have to lose money learning how to play. If you can't make it down to Live you can check out their site.. www.npplpoker.com and see where around you they play.
my friends have a game every friday and saturday, but it's 1/2 no limit. i wouldn't recommend it. but if you ever get your game good enough that you think you can play, drop me a PM.
i actually played poker for the first time with chips and stuff, and not on the computer, and i got my ass rolled. I just had a sorry hand after hand.
You can also look up the Amateur Poker League which has games all over on different nights for free at bars. You get chips, sit at felt tables and get the whole tournament experience without getting 'rolled' as Kam mentioned.
