Does anyone actually have this? Is it good? How does it compare to Regular Radio? How does it compare to XM and Sirius Rocket River
I heard it at CES. I guess it sounds better and its free. But will anyone get it? The BMW dude gave me a demo. Im happy with my Sirius, I get all the NBA and NFL, plus I have the old school hip hop with Doug E Fresh as my DJ.
It looks like there are only few stations in each city. Like in Houston, there are only 10 stations. Not nearly close to XM or Sirius. http://hdradio.com/hd_digital_radio_format_list.php?sortBy=market_name&market=Houston-Galveston,+TX
oh XM and sirius is nationwide, so u can drive all over the place and the station will still be there.
I don't know why someone would have HD radio unless it came installed in a new car. Isn't it basically the same thing as regular radio but higher quality? It defeats the purpose I think if you're going to upgrade to get HD over commercial free satellite.
Why yes, I would love to pay to hear CD-quality Gallery Furniture and Klein's Fine Jewelers ads Get satellite radio.
This was basically my thoughts As I listen to the Ads I wonder. . How many stations are there and Is it worth the effort .. . It seems it is just a regular Radio with a better tuner Rocket RIver
I heard Ken Charles the programming director talking about HD radio on the High Tech Texan radio show. He said the HD stands for nothing. While it's better quality, It's not "high definition" radio. I guess the radio industry thinks it sounds high tech. Sort of like everyone putting an "i" before a gizmo name to copy Apple.
Thank you. I hate FM babble... so now I get to listen to FM babble in HD.... mmmboy.... nothin' like the fun of that next Toyota SALES EVENT THIS SATURDAY ONLY being shouted at me via HD Radio.
