Harrick, 64, has been suspended with pay since March 10, when athletics director Vince Dooley and university president Michael Adams also announced that the No. 25-ranked Bulldogs wouldn't play in the SEC and NCAA tournaments because of findings of academic fraud and unethical conduct within the program. Players met at 5 p.m. Dooley met with them at 5:30 p.m. It is unknown how much Georgia will pay Harrick in the settlement. His contract says that he could receive as much as $2.1 million if the school can't link him directly to alleged NCAA rules violations.
GOOD! He should be banned from coaching any NCAA program. The reason crap like this happens ALL the time in college sports is that the people who do the wrongdoing(players/coaches) just transfer to another school or go to another job while the University is left dealing with sanctions and such. Ban players and coaches who are the true wrongdoers, not the whole university.
