Hard drive data recovery

    Does anyone know of someone who does this sort of thing, and who doesn't want my first born?? ;)

    Dude, it costs an arm and leg to do it. I think it ranges from $500-$3,000.

    Have you tried the software Ontrack Recovery? It might help a little.

    software won't do me any good. Part of the hard drive itself went bad (the lil arm reader thingy)

    Apple used DriveSavers exclusively, but it was expensive.

    It's usually really expensive. There are some programs that can do some data recovery that you can download, and sometimes Linux can do it too. If your drive is dead/dying, sometimes you can put it in the fridge and get enough life out of it to get your data off.

    I had called around here in Dallas when I had trouble w/ my HD and they said it was going to cost me my 1st born....it sucks.
