How far has the Aggie football program fallen? Look no further than their last games. They barely squeaked past Wyoming 28-20 in a game that shouldn't have even been close. Wyoming is a team that went 1-10 last year, and had some serious difficulty beating I-AA Furman last week. Now I don't hate A&M (I hate OU), but what the hell is going on there? Has that once proud program really fallen that fast? Heck, even McNeese St. played them close last week at Kyle. RC Slocum better turn things around FAST, because this type of play WILL NOT hold up in Big XII competition. They already will lose games to OU, UT, and NU. That leaves them with little room for error. IF they don't get their act together soon, then they may find themselves sitting at home during bowl time in Dec/Jan. Basically, this Aggie program needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. For starters, fire RC. The guy has absolutely no idea what he's doing (kicked of in both halves vs. UT last year). He can't recruit, and worries more about what "TU" is doing than his own team. He recruited Reggie McNeal, but will it be enough?? Will A&M ever return to the once-proud program that it once was? Is Bethel Johnson any good? Does Mark Farris really suck as bad as it seems? What happened to the old Wrecking Crew? DAMN SHAME. The gomers will have some serious soul-searching to do once conference play starts. BTW, Saturday morning: 11 AM UT-UNC on ABC. Come early, be loud, stay late. Hook em. Rose Bowl 2002.
After they "dominated" McNeese State, you should have heard all the superlatives they bestowed upon the 5th best team in Louisiana. They beat a 1-10 team by 8 points. They'll manage to spin this one also. You gonna be at the game? Cole Pittman Day.
