I'm in the market for a new laptop, since I don't have a company laptop for the first time in years. I've decided that I want a gaming laptop since I do like to throw down some PC gaming now and again. Battery life isn't an issue; I have no problems moving the AC adapter around with me. I've looked at Dell XPS and Alienware, and have determined that my price point is around $2k. While I do trust Dell for it's quality (I've used several XPS laptop models), I won't rule out any brands except HP, which in my experience makes junk laptops. As far as features, the whistles and bells I'm interested in are a 17-inch model with high resolution, dual video cards, and at least a 7200rpm hard drive. I don't care much for blu-ray or soundblaster sound unless it's a free upgrade. Thanks in advance for the advice.
Getting a gaming laptop is like buying a sportscar for full price only to have it turn into a pumpkin by midnight.
