tell me a good PC game that doesn't require latest hardware.

i have duo core 3.2 and 2 gigs of ram. video card has 128 memory. 6600 series.

strategy preferred. shooters are fine too.

Shoot, it looks like you are plenty updated for new games like Crysis and Bioshock.

I can still run those games on my ancient rig at the low settings.

If, by chance, you're looking for free stuff, I recently found out that you can download the original Command & Conquer for free. (It's still fun 12 years later.) I believe Far Cry is available for free, too, if you like FPSes. Also, if you're bored, mess around with GameTap. For a while, they had a bunch of free games to play, like the entire Hitman series (minus the newest one) and Tomb Raider Legend. (That kept me occupied for weeks.) Not sure if that promotion is still running, though, but it's worth a look.

Heroes of Might and Magic series- #3 is the best IMO. And it came out in 99, so it runs on anything now. Turn-based strategy.

I play a lot of Team Fortress 2 these days. My machine is just an AMD 64 3200+, 1 GB RAM, 128 MB 6600GT. Runs like a champ.
