Maybe in 20 yrs, but right now even California is bigger than Texas...

    Professional Sports Team:

    California: 18

    Texas: 9

    State Parks:

California: 126 State parks, 8 State Forest, 11 state wildlife areas??
    Texas: 55 state parks/ 4 State Forest

    Tallest Building:

    California: U.S Bank Tower-1,018 / 310 Ft/m

    Texas: JPMorgan Chase Tower-1,002 feet

    Theme Parks:

I'm not even gonna go there

    Movie Studios:
    Come on??

I'm not sure about Museums, but Houston is pretty kick ass! We got our space program, beat that Cali!!!!

California is in a perpetual state of bankruptcy that will only get worse.

IN 10 years, half the things you mentioned will probably close down

You are right. As a California resident and Texas native, the taxes and potholes are definitely bigger in California.

Driving past Beechnut is for poor people. Real ballers drive on Wheeler.

California also has more people, so most of those things make sense.

I think if you are talented you would be better off in California. Apparently salaries are going insane in silicon valley.

They actually seem to be getting their house in order as far as finances go. Still Texas > California for most things

And if money problems don't do it, an earthquake will probably put half the state in the Pacific.

Let's not forget that the cost of living is also much bigger in CA than in TX.

This being Hangout we need to consider the two most important factors when comparing states.
    Whose burgers are bigger
    In-N-Out vs. Whataburger

    and

    CA Boobies vs. TX Boobies
