Paid $5 to see it yesterday. If you go into it realizing what it is, it's not bad at all. I laughed quite a bit.
Its pretty good. Of course its no where near the orginal but its not bad. I'd reccomend it but dont go in there expecting it to come close to the orginal or you will be dissapointed.
I just saw it last night. Only go if you can muster really, really low expectations. If you expect it to be even close to as good as the first one, you'll be extremely disappointed.
Weren't the reviews for the first one horrilble too? No Jim Carrey + no Jeff Daniels = no see at the theatre. But since it was the same producer/director etc. I will at least rent in when it comes out on DVD.
Haha, man, I work at a movie theater and I take tickets most of the time...Well, yesterday one of the two theaters that is directly behind where I stand and take tickets is "Dumb and Dumberer" and people were rolling out of there PISSED. I can't tell you how many times I heard people say "THAT WAS THE WORST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN" or "I DIDN'T EVEN LAUGH ONE TIME!" Hopefully this movie won't make enough money at the box office to turn a profit for the bright minds that thought it up..
I read a review that said it's BETTER than the first one....lol..anyways I saw it yesterday and liked it, not as much as the first though.
I'm gonna come out and say it: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! This movie is on my top 10 worst list. It wasn't even all that funny. My friends and I actually were bored through almost the whole movie. The acting is horrific! The only funny part to me was the chinese girl who doesn't speak english through almost the whole movie, then she finnaly does for the first time, and noone notices it. It takes another scene for the characters to notice. That was whhhaaack! Cod
The idea of making a sequel to that movie, ten years later, and minus the two stars, is probably funnier than the actual movie. I refuse to pay to see it. Maybe when it comes out on cable, and I'm extremely stoned, I might give it a try.
cant be worse than daredevil. god how i despice ben affleck. i hate ben affleck like manny hates jennifer lopez.
Yeah i went and saw it Friday night. The biggest surprise was how EMPTY the theatre was... i expected opening night to draw at least half-full but it was maybe a quarter full. Anyways, through the first half I was thinking how this movie wasn't that bad, actually pretty funny. But the last half seemed to drag on forever. Also, in all the scenes with the principal and the lunchlady, I maybe heard 2 laughs total in our whole theatre, those scenes were just weird. Still it was better than I expected, but nowhere near the original classic.
