So what's your story? I didn't get a minute of sleep last night. Just lay in my bed, dreamcasting a billion different scenarios.

I was up late watching the ESPN draft special last night and kept thinking how can we move up and get Brown or Battier. I must have looked at every scenario. Got up first thing this AM and checked Sportscenter for possible Rocket trades.I always freak out right before the draft.

    Scary,

I was nervous before, but nothing compared to what I am now. The only things I've been reading last night and today are about Battier possibly dropping... if we could pick him up, I would be the happiest Rocket fan on earth. If he's there at 7, send 13, 18, 23, Walt, KT-- whatever you need to. If there is any reasonable way we can get him, please do it Rudy!!!

I agree totally. I have heard alot of stuff about how Battier isnt athletic enough or has reached the peak of his potential. I dont think so. I see him as a solid all around hard-nosed hustle player. He has good work ethic and is smart. A perfect fit for us. Not flashy, just fundamentals. I just like his consistent effort on both ends of the floor. Lets hope for some good fortune later today.

I just had a dream about the draft.

Battier went first, followed by Troy Murphy. I don't remember much else, but Zach Randolph went early too. I remember saying that Joe Johnson may fall to us, then I ran over from the TV to the computer to get on cc.net. And then I woke up. Weird!

Couldn't have said it better myself. If we come out of this draft with Battier, in my book we have an A++, even if we lose all 3 picks to get him. Rudy-- it wouldn't hurt you to take a look at this. [IMG]
