DerMarr Johnson Available Again

    I suspect his neck injury is career ending. If Phoenix does indeed cut him and Rocket physicians find his injury is not permanent, perhaps Houston should sign him to a minimum contract and put him on the IR to see if he has a future. He was a lottery selection who could still be a classic small forward.

    It's tempting to give him a chance but I think the Rockets should pass up on him because of the neck injury.

    Where does it say that Phoenix is cutting him. I think it would be great to pick him up by the way. He is still very young and hopefully just needs time to heal.

    I liked Johnson a lot out of college, but that neck injury was pretty serious. There's probably a reason why he's not sticking with Phoenix.
