When I boot my Dell E310 desktop, the screen prompts me to "press F1 to continue or F2 to enter setup." If I press F1 the system boots normally. But it is a bit annoying having to press F1 every time.

What is the reason this prompt shows up? I tried changing the settings in BIOS, but nothing seems to take away this prompt.

I read it might be an issue with the CMOS battery, but not really sure.

    Help?

try resetting cmos by either finding the jumper on the mobo or taking out the battery for 30 seconds and putting it back in.

In most cases, with the Dells, it will tell you on the screen:

"Warning! System battery voltage is low! Press F2 to enter Setup or press F1 to continue." Does it not give that message?

This does sound like a CMOS battery issue...but it should state that on the BIOS screen.
