    They don't have a female lead singer. They do have songs in which female singers have guested on - such as Tracy Thorn of Everything but the Girl (another great band), Liz Fraser (of the Cocteau Twins) and Sinead O'Connor.

    And even though I don't have any of their stuff, one band that is always mentioned as one of the best in alternative and indie circles is Sleater-Kinney. I think TheFreak is a big fan of them but I might be mistaken on that one.

    Another Dolly parton cover. Vocals aren't amazing but the band is pretty tight which IMO isn't often when a chick is on lead vocals.
