I remember early in Juwan Howard's career when the Bullets had a frontcourt of Webber, Howard, and Murasean(sp?). And Howard played the 3. I haven't watched him at all recently, but does anyone know if he still has the athleticism for the SF position?

It would certainly help out with our logjam at the PF position, and a big lineup of Yao/Taylor/Howard/T-Mac could certainly present matchup problems for opposing defenses.

I think we can be assured that T-Mac and JJ will be the starting 2 and 3. I think Howard could spell the 3 for certain situations but I doubt he would start there.

I guess he can play 3 if we run out of other options. But I am a bit concerned that he is not fast enough to catch up with other SF's.

Sure, if Minnesota plays KG at the 3 then we can play Howard at the 3 to guard him.

I was thinking more for certain situations, rather than that being the starting lineup. It's just that since I haven't seen him play much, I'm not sure if he could handle the position on defense.

They are most likely going to be interchanged at the position depending on the night and who is on the other team at those positions.

On paper McGrady will be the 2 guard and the fact that if you put him at forward he will have a tough time getting in the all star game with the forwards that are in the west lol.

I mean Francis made it each year at the guard and you know McGrady will be going at the other guard.

He will play the 3 in certain situations I'm sure, if the matchup calls for it.

We played Spoon next to Yao and Mo against Indiana to guard Artest, IIRC.
