Can your baby squirrel do this?

 

True story: Years ago. my kids found 2 baby squirrels in the backyard that their goofy ass mom greenlighted for them to keep as pets ... Long story short... I ended up taking my son to the ER due to him having blisters all over his damn body ..

Similar thing happened to me. Kept him for just a few hours before his mom came back and took him. My kid got to see his mom pick him up and take him. That was cool. Also, the other day I heard weird sounds in the backyard, I go check and it's a squirrel yelling at my dogs. They had just killed an adult squirrel. Not so cool.

We took care of a young squirrel (not a baby) for about a week. For this reason we took it outside everyday while it grew stronger. It would climb on us and eat out of our hands and even though I knew it would hurt, after a week it left us and never came back. The wife said we shoulda kept it and I still think of the little rodent but it seemed right to give it a chance to go back to its natural environment.

 

I had the same experience with a kitten as a young boy. The little bugger took off after we "supposedly" rescued him.

 

Nope! I was talking about the various places in cities that take in injured wild animals and nurse them back to health.

 

I once had a nest of baby birds fall in my backyard. I had to find one of these bird ladies who has the necessary credentials to care for birds in her home. I go over there and it's a bird zoo in a residential home. She's taking care of all these birds that needed help. Yea...I went the extra mile for those baby birds.

 

I found an old squirrel, followed him to what appeared to be a retirement home for squirrels. And they were all nuts.
