In this day and age, I know this is an odd comment. BUT

My gorgeous pic of my son and I has been stuck to the window frame of a picture.

I tried to scan it, but with the frame, it is unacceptable.

Anyone know a good frame editor, possibly? It will NOT come out of it's original frame. My ex liked to superglue the pics to their frames...

That is a tough one. Probably a stupid question, but does the negative still exist, or if was digital, is there a soft copy?

If the ex has a copy, are you on good enough terms to ask her for the negative or soft copy?

If I had that, It would be too easy.

The pic will, literally be ruined if it is removed from the glass. I would prefer not remove it from the frome, but I will, if I must.

I can't think of a better way to ruin a picture. Good luck, try to take it to a professional, they can probably extract it and restore the pic in some way.

Wait. Are you doing this so that you can put it on myspace? A younger, skinnier version of fatty fat?

I would like to save the pic. It is of me and my son 6 years ago. So you are partially correct. :p

There is a way which will degrade the quality of the reproduction. You need to get a camera, set it up so that you are taking a picture of the picture as much as possible without the frame.

You can then use phtoshop to crop off the frame. The reproduction will be ok, but it won't be the same quality as the original.

A good photographer could fix it pretty easily. If you have the patience, scan it and fix it yourself with photoshop.
