Sad stuff to see... but good to share so we can prevent it in the future. YouTube'd fight at the US Open between thug and older couple:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPelP6HG7ig&feature=player_embedded

    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rPelP6HG7ig?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rPelP6HG7ig?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

I didn't think this should be in the thread about awesome Tennis by the players.

What do you all think? I thought that when the old man pulled on the ladies' blouse, it was over, but then the old man went "into the fire." :(

Lady_Di? Can you please tell us what the guy was saying?

*EDIT* I can read the obscenities (GTFOOH) by the thug clearly, and also saying "go back to your seat"

It looks like the older couple initiated contact first.

while the young guy seemed like a punk and probably said some nasty words about that woman but it was the old guy that escalated it to a fight....
old guy's fault and he got what he deserved by falling

Well, I don't care how old I may be, if some little B#$%$h A$$ punk started saying not so nice things about my lady...FOOL'S GOING DOWN!!!

Edit - Saying that, don't know the convo so won't say the old dude was in his right.

I would actually expect the older people/person to know that the young person is young and more than likely ignorant and to just walk away from the situation rather than turning it into a physical altercation.

Well if my wife is being insulted by some idiot then he will get his A$$ beat, simple, other people may handle it a different way and that is their choice. Now, if she is going Jersey Shore on someone then obivously I will not act in the same way and If no one is insulting anyone rather just a simple disagreement then, of couse, I won't act in this manner either.

True but if he crossed the line and from the video, and their reactions, it appears he did then I can see him not backing down.

    This.

I just like the fact that old people are starting to push back. In one sense, the old man could be way off base. In the other, bravo to senior citizens (considering I'll be joining their ranks in the not to distant future)

What line? Be the ADULT and just walk away. Sheesh! What does a fight do except make both of them look stupid?

To me there is certainly a line, if the guy is drunk and just being ignorant then, yes, walk away but if he starts with the personal insults and decideds it's okay to pick on a family at an event then that's the line.

Side note - Where was security in all of this? I wonder why someone didn't call the guards to come down and prevent this from happening?

OK... I don't know if you're just being funny or really believing that FIGHTING will "honor" your wife. :) It's your right to do whatever you want, sir, and a very personal opinion with which I will disagree. Take THIS approach, please:
 I could not agree with you more, sir.
